Who Are We Really Saving?
Most of us have been raised with this image of needing to be a strong, resilient and independent woman who is driven to succeed and devoted to those around her. And while that appears like a legacy to be proud of, if balance and wellbeing are neglected, we may find ourselves in need of serious saving.
Where do we get this from? You may think you know, and trust us, we did too when we first embarked on this journey. Little did we know that it’s roots ran so much deeper.
But guess what? Once You know better, you can absolutely do better.
So….just how do we do that?
Well first, you gotta name it.

You can’t really fix what you can’t name. Trust us. Language matters. Why? because it allows you to better comprehend your experiences so that you can understand what they are, what they aren’t and more importantly, what you you intend to learn so that you can rewrite the narrative.
By understanding and naming your experiences, you empower yourself to break free from old patterns, embrace your truth, and craft a life that honors your balance, wellbeing, and authenticity.
Now let’s do some reflection.
Reflection allows you to connect the dots between where you’ve been, where you are, and where you want to go. By taking a moment to pause and process, you can uncover hidden patterns, celebrate your growth, and gain clarity on the next steps in your journey toward balance and fulfillment.

This was just ONE of seven questions that we asked our viewers (and asked ourselves). Want to do a check in with yourself and preview our Resilience & Reinvention in a Chaotic World Chapter 1 Workbook: Retiring the Cape?
So What Causes Superwoman Syndrome?
Well? The truth is, there are layers (upon layers) to this. So much so that we could probably do a whole episode exploring them. You can can get a good foundational understanding in our very first podcast episode.
In this episode, we:
- Explore Superwoman Syndrome and it’s root causes
- Learn how to recognize when we’re operating in that mode
- Understand what’s at stake if we don’t find balance
- Share Best Practices to help ourselves help ourselves
- Do a Self-Healing Activity
- Reflect on what we’ve learned so we can know better and do better
- Set our intentions for putting it to practice
We plan do get more in depth with our upcoming book Resilience and Reinvention in a Chaotic World and the accompanying resources that we have birthed from going through all of this ourselves.
